Privacy Policy
Last Updated - February 09, 2026

Equitix (referred to as “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit our website or use our services. We are regulated by Canadian law to collect specific information to protect your assets and maintain the integrity of our platform. This policy outlines how we handle your "Personal Information" (any information that identifies you as an individual). It explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and retain your personal information when you visit our website, use our services, or otherwise interact with us. Personal information is any information about an identifiable individual, other than the person’s business title or business contact information, when used or disclosed for business communications.

Information We Collect

We collect personal information that you provide when you use our contact form or sign up for subscriptions. This may include your name, email address, and phone number. We also automatically collect usage data about how you interact with our site (your IP address, browser type, pages visited, etc.) to improve our service. If you register for paid plans or trials, we will also collect payment information through secure third-party processors. We collect information directly from you, through your use of our website and services, and from authorized third-party providers.

How We Use And Disclose Information

We use personal information to respond to inquiries, to deliver requested materials such as research reports and newsletters, to manage accounts and subscriptions, to process payments when applicable, and to analyze and improve our website and services. We may use your email to send updates about new content or changes in terms, but only if you have consented to receive them. Usage data (IP, device info, cookies) helps us analyze site performance and troubleshoot issues. We will not sell or rent your personal data to third parties. However, we may disclose personal information to trusted service providers, who assist in our operations (such as email or payment processors) or if required by law (such as in response to a subpoena). Personal Information may be stored or processed outside of Canada and may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

Cookies And Tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to remember preferences and to understand how visitors use our site for the purpose of improving site performance and functionality. Cookies are small files stored on your device, and you may disable them using your browser settings, although disabling cookies may limit certain features and functionality of the site. By continuing to use our site, you acknowledge and consent to our use of these essential and analytical technologies.

Consent And Legal Bases

We collect and use your personal information only with your knowledge and consent, except where required or permitted by law. We limit our data collection to what is strictly necessary for the purposes identified. We will obtain express consent before sending marketing communications and will honour any withdrawal of consent in accordance with applicable law. You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time; however, because we are a regulated entity, withdrawing consent for certain data may require the termination of your account to ensure we remain in compliance with reporting laws. We process personal information in accordance with the principles of PIPEDA and other applicable Canadian privacy requirements.

Your Rights

You have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information. You may withdraw consent to processing where consent was the legal basis, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. To exercise these rights, or if you have any privacy concerns, you can contact us via the Contact Us form or email. We strive to respond to all access requests within a reasonable timeframe. Please note that we will need to retain certain information for a specific period of time as required by law and for legitimate business purposes.

Commercial Electronic Messages (CASL)

If you sign up for our email list, we comply with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Where we send commercial electronic messages for marketing purposes, we do so with either your express consent or the limited implied consent situations set out by the law. Our emails will clearly identify our identity and include our contact information and an easy way to unsubscribe. You can opt out of promotional emails at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in the message; we will honour unsubscribe requests.

CIRA And Domain Privacy

Equitix uses a .ca domain in accordance with CIRA’s Canadian Presence Requirements. CIRA automatically limits publicly visible WHOIS data for .ca domains, so our personal registrant details are not exposed. CIRA’s privacy policy governs how domain-related personal data is handled.

External Links

Our website may contain links to third-party sites and services, and those sites have their own privacy practices. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, note that we are not responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide while visiting such sites. Such sites are not governed by this Privacy Policy. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question. You acknowledge and agree that we are not liable for any loss or damage which may be incurred by you as a result of the availability of those external sites or resources, or as a result of any reliance placed by you on the completeness, accuracy or existence of any advertising, or other materials on, or available from, such websites or resources. These third-party sites and service providers may have their own privacy policies governing the storage and retention of your personal information that you may be subject to.

You are therefore advised to re-read the Terms of Service regularly. Should it be that you do not accept any of the modifications or amendments to the Terms, you may terminate your use of this website immediately.
